Stereo Juggernaut's Novocaine Hurricane

Straight from the start it is clear that Novocaine Hurricane is a combination of hard rock, indie and EDM with a good dose of gothic darkness which provides a rather fitting mood for the title.

Novocaine Hurricane is the latest EP released by London based alternative rock outfit Stereo Juggernaut. If you're not familiar with Stereo Juggernaut it's fair to described them as heavy enough to be enjoyed by most open minded rockers but with a soft enough touch to not scare off those who don't like being jostled in the mosh pit.

Straight from the start it's clear that Novocaine Hurricane is a combination of hard rock, indie and EDM with a good dose of gothic darkness which provides a rather fitting mood for the title. The production is rich and warm with a lot of small details to excite the listener. Compositionally the songs contain a good deal of melody and dynamics with a fair amount of the emotion coming from Ben Main's vocal and the eerie yet exciting synth arpeggios and pads. This is all backed by a solid base of guitars, bass and drums. Even though this release is an EP it still contains a decent amount of diversity while keeping within context of the whole.

Novocaine Hurricane leans toward to the pop side of music but dabbles in experimentation and puts on a good amount of passion, energy and attitude. For those of you that need a teaser to further entice you, it can be found on youtube.

Novocaine Hurricane is available through digital dispensaries iTunes and Amazon
