The melancholic Eavesdropper

...a fine tuned and brilliantly executed collection of songs that stand well with any of its contemporaries.

Today 4 piece California based PRGRM released there 12" LP Eavesdropper. The album brings together a lush combination of electronic, indie and triphop, think parts of M83 with a smidgen of Laydtron and NIN.

The album as a whole brings the listener through a dreamy melancholic trip that is driven on with sections of upbeat hits that bring us out of the soft mellow sound to excite us and keep the LP from getting sleepy. The production is modern and beat predominant with a wide stereo image and plenty of layers with liberal use of effects that meld beautifully to create a thick and intricate sound.

In terms of electronic or indie music Eavesdropper is not bring anything revolutionary to the table, it does however bring a fine tuned and brilliantly executed collection of songs that stand well with any of its contemporaries.

As is usual, you can check out Eavesdropper on Band Camp to help you decide if it's worth a purchase. If you're into vinyl, you'd best be quick as there is a limited 100 copies of the LP.
